Flying With Medical Cannabis

Flying With Medical Cannabis

Are you a licensed medical cannabis patient? Have you ever worried about flying with your medication? You are not alone, but there is good news - flying with medical cannabis is about to get much more friendly.

As of October, policies in airport screening have become more lenient. You may have tried flying with medical cannabis before and gotten pulled out of the line to be screened and asked additional questions. In many cases, the police would have been called and done the interrogation themselves. Medical marijuana has been legal in Canada for years now, and with recreational marijuana legalization on the horizon, it only makes sense that getting through airport security gets more efficient and less suspect.

Police will now only be called to attention in airport security of a legal marijuana patient is carrying more marijuana than could fit in a 1L bag or bottle.
